The look of the Bleach Capsule is created through a custom reverse dye process. Using only eco-friendly ingredients like salt and lemon juice combined with enough time to react with the fabrics we are able to create a distinctive look and perfect succession to last year’s Batik collection.

Each piece of the Bleach Capsule is hand dyed individually and may therefore vary slightly from the product images.

Ever since the founding of FINGERSCROSSED one of our leading principles has been to use resources responsibly and to produce only as much as we can sell. Returning back to our principles we wanted to give existing goods a new shine instead of producing yet another collection. This is how the highly limited Bleach capsule came about.

We used black colourways of our favorite products as a canvas and had them bleached by a local couple – Peter and Sabrina of BWARNA. After soaking in warm water each piece is wrung out and tied individually. All access water is being collected in the process and used again later. The garments are treated with an eco-friendly bleach made from lemon juice, baking soda and salt. Everything is vacuum sealed for the next 48 hours and then rinsed showcasing the first results. After air drying for a day or two the final garments are ready. Each one individual as it is - through the unique treatment no two will ever be the same.
